Evan got in some snuggle time with Grandpa and Grandma before the action started. And we got to watch all the balloons from a distance. There were over 400 up in the sky.
Later that day we took Evan to a local pumpkin patch, and I somehow took over 300 pictures in 1 hour. When the camera flashed "memory card full" I knew I was in trouble. but I think Evan is a natural ham in front of the camera.
That evening after a nap we bundled him up for the Balloon Fiesta. It was a Glow where all the balloons stayed on the ground but lit up the evening sky.
Up next was a family BBQ, Evan got passed around and worked the crowd. He got kissed, hugs, and squeezes from Cousins, Great Aunts, Uncles, 2nd cousins, and more.
But the most exciting part of the day was introducing him to his first girlfriend Claire. Both Mom's will be plotting for years (what else would you expect from Kate & Kate) on how two get these two engaged. But all Evan wanted to do was pull the bow off her head!
And we couldn't end the visit without Evan's first trip to the Aquarium.
There were some quiet times at home too, we tried some new food including carrots, bell peppers, and his new favorite Star Puffs.
Overall it was a great trip, and we had to say goodbye to the balloons until next year.
